Man Sells Steam Account On eBay

Garners $1,000 for 139 Games

January 16, 2010 – Seller dave311freak placed his Steam account for sale on eBay this week, offering 139 games for the low asking price of at least $500. The account was sold today for $1,000, netting the now ex-gamer with a handsome sum for his large PC game collection.

The collection included titles such as GTA IV, Modern Warfare 1 and Modern Warfare 2, Half-Life 2, Oblivion, and Fallout 3. It also included many extremely old-school games such as Hexen II and Quake.

Saying, “My account includes 139 games purchased worth over $2,700 if purchased separately from Steam. I am selling my account because, as you can probably tell, I spend way too much time buying and playing video games and I am going to try to spend more time with my family and doing other hobbies.”

The lucky buyer has a vast collection of games to plow through, though it’s hard to imagine that anyone with $1,000 to spend on a Steam account hasn’t already played through the likes of Half-Life, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and The Secret of Monkey Island.
