Unique and Critically-Acclaimed DS Game Soars Past One Million Sales

February 4, 2010 – Yesterday Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that Scribblenauts has sold more than one million units worldwide. The game, released in September 2009 for the Nintendo DS won more than 50 industry awards and was touted for its originality and fun.

Martin Tremblay, President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment said, “We are extremely pleased with the sales of Scribblenauts and credit the game’s innovation and wide appeal in making it a hit with gamers of all skill levels. Scribblenauts is one of our strong original brands, and we look forward to bringing consumers more quality gaming experiences as part of our portfolio game strategy.”

Scribblenauts offers players numerous solutions to its puzzles as it’s motto, “Write anything. Solve everything,” suggests. If a player needs to use a ladder to rescue another character, they write “ladder” and it appears. The game offers a myriad of solutions and objects.

It was developed by 5th Cell and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It is available solely for the Nintendo DS.
