Metro 2033 Release Date Confirmed

Post Apocalyptic FPS Coming in March

January 28, 2010 THQ has confirmed that the FPS Metro 2033 will be released on March 16 in North America and March 19 in Europe.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic future in which survivors avoid the devastation by sheltering in the Moscow subway system. As time passes, each station forms its own identity, and inevitably conflicts brew between these fledgeling underground communities. The game has been compared favourably with the likes of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Fallout 3.

Metro 2033 is based on a Russian sci-fi novel of the same name, which should become available in an English translation at around the same time the game is released. Metro 2033 is being developed by 4A Games and will be published by THQ. It will be released on the PC and Xbox 360.
