Hideo Kojima In The UK – A Peace Walker Signing

If you happen to be a Metal Gear Solid fan, you own a PSP, and you also tend to perform all of your world-saving from the United Kingdom, then you might want to make a trip to London where Hideo Kojima, renowned creator of the MGS series, will be making an appearance for a launch-day signing event of the highly anticipated “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.”

Kojima will be in two locations over the course of two days for this signing event, each with its own little perks. However, if you happen to be a buff of video game art directors then you will be doubly pleased to hear that Kojima’s art director, Yoji Shinkawa, will be joining for this occasion.

The first of the two locales is going to be at HMV’s flagship store 360 Oxford Street, London W1. You can have your chance to meet them there between the hours of 4pm and 6pm on launch day, June 18th. Remember the perks I mentioned earlier? If you go to meet them on launch day here you can get a signed exclusive inlay. There’s been no news of what this inlay will look like, but it’s my guess that you can only get it there.

If that’s not enough for you, or if you’re busy on that day, you can join up with them at their second and final signing on the following day, June 19th, at the UNIQLO store at 331 Oxford Street, London W1. Here you will find Kojima and Shinkawa signing both copies of the game as well as limited edition postcards, supposedly in honor of the new “Peace Walker” themed T-Shirts that UNIQLO will be selling. And if that wasn’t enough for you, there’s more. Buy one of these “Peace Walker” shirts and you will discover a secret code for in-game goodies. But remember, if you want to meet up with the directors then you have to be there between the hours of 11am and 1pm. Good luck!
