Mafia II Developer Call

Mafia II is approaching release next Tuesday, and we can’t wait. This pastFriday we were lucky enough to take part in a developer call where our questions (and quite a few other website’s questions) were answered.

The conference call was moderated by Chase from Access Communications, and the questions were answered by Jack Scalici, director of creative production on Mafia II. The call, which can be listened to in its entirety in the link below, provided some great insights into the game world, its levels of realism, the game’s length, and more.

Some interesting facts from the call:

  • Mafia II’s storyline will last roughly 15-20 hours for most gamers.
  • The city of Empire Bay is twice the size of Lost Heaven, the city from the original Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. It sits at a beautiful 10 square miles of real estate.
  • There are 122 unique music tracks on the radio covering music from the 1940s to 1950s rock ‘n roll including the likes of Little Richard and Buddy Holly.
  • There are references in the game to Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, which should be awesome for fans of the original.

Click on the link below to listen to the entire call and get a massive overload of Mafia II information. It can even be downloaded right to your computers for listening anywhere.

We can’t wait to play this game next week! Let us know your thoughts below.
