BioShock 2 DLC Arriving Soon

2K Games has announced that expansions for BioShock 2 will be arriving over the coming months and that the DLC packages will expand both the single player and multiplayer aspects of the game.

The first DLC package, announced today, is the “Sinclair Solutions Test Pack,” which will be available next month on Xbox LIVE and PSN for 400 MS Points and $4.99, respectively.

The “Sinclair Solutions Test Pack” DLC will enhance the multiplayer aspect of BioShock 2 by enabling players to reach level 50 with Rank Rewards, will include new playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca and will also feature 20 new trials, a third upgrade for each weapon, and five new masks. Some of the items, such as the masks and trails, will only become available to players who reach a rank of 41 or higher.

The single player DLC to come in the next few months will provide new insight into the world of Rapture and will include new tools and challenges.

Speaking about the DLC content, 2K Games’ President, Cristoph Hartmann said in the press release, “The fans who waited in the snow, rain and cold for the midnight launch of BioShock 2 have spoken and their message is that Rapture still has many fascinating stories to tell. Downloadable content is a key part of our effort to continue to entice the fans that have made 2K a household name – we intend to deliver single and multiplayer content that respects and expands upon one of the greatest fictional worlds ever created.”
