MS Offering Users Ability to Check Out Next Dashboard Update

Today Microsoft announced a preview of the new Xbox 360 System Update, available to thousands of Xbox LIVE users, both Silver and Gold.

In order to test the System Update and see how it performs ahead of its official release, Microsoft has announced that they will enable users to sign up and receive access to the Preview Program.

This new update will feature a new dashboard optimized for Kinect, ESPN on Xbox LIVE, Zune music, Netflix search (which, to me, is huge), and new updates to Zune video and Family Settings.

All that you have to do to be considered for the program is fill out a survey. Immediately afterwards you will be informed whether or not you have been selected for the program. Both Silver and Gold members will be considered, but Gold members will get preference due to the fact that they will be able to use ESPN, Netflix, and other features unavailable to Silver members.

Let us know if you were able to get a preview and what you think. We plan on checking it out later today and will post our thoughts.

You can sign up for it here.
