After more than decade of hibernation the Marvel Vs. Capcom series has returned. Earlier this week at their annual “Captivate” event the developer revealed the third entry into the fighting series, currently subtitled “Fate of Two Worlds.”

Pitting Capcom’s iconic video game characters against Marvel’s pantheon of heroes and villains, the series has always been known for it’s high quality. Judging from the trailer confirmed characters include Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk, Morrigan (from Darkstalkers), Ryu and Chris Redfield.

Similar to Street Fighter IV the game will have 3D character models fighting on a 2D plane. The game will utilize an advanced version of MT Framework, the engine powering Capcom’s upcoming co-op shooter Lost Planet 2.
