Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Arriving This Summer for $15

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be arriving this summer for $15. And despite the Lara Croft name, this isn’t really a Tomb Raider title at all. In fact, it’s more like a complete reworking of everything you’ve ever known about Lara and her famous chest.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will not be a straightforward adventure game like the Tomb Raider titles Ms. Croft has become so synonymous with. Rather, the game will offer approximately six hours of co-op action (you can also play a single-player campaign) and puzzle solving. The game will be played from a top-down perspective and Lara will be accompanied by Totec, a spear-hurling Mayan warrior. The game will stress co-operative teamwork as survival will require working together to solve puzzles, navigate obstacles and eventually track down the Mirror of Smoke, an ancient artifact that contains an evil spirit.

While Lara will still be shooting enemies and exploring unique tombs and other locations throughout the world, the game will take inspiration from arcade titles such as the highly-lauded Shadow Complex and aims to be a fun, energetic experience across the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 platforms.
