Rock Band DLC – Megadeth, The Who

Rock Band Bringing The Who’s Super Bowl Peformance and Megadeth’s 1990 Album “Rust in Peace” Next Week. Head-banging Ensues.

February 5, 2010 Rock Band gamers will get an extremely nice present next week. Not only will gamers be able to play The Who’s Super Bowl concert immediately after the game (on the Xbox 360 and Wii, PlayStation 3 coming later) but they will also be able to download Megadeth’s seminal 1990 album, “Rust in Peace.”

Gamers will be able to download the entire Megadeth album for $14.99 or 1200 MS Points and individual tracks can also be purchased for $1.99 or 160 MS Points. The album features hits such as ‘Hangar 18’ and ‘Holy Wars..The Punishment Due.’ The album is heavy metal at it’s best and is a classic well worth the money.

As for The Who’s Super Bowl performance? Well, until Sunday we won’t know the track listing, but it’s The Who, so it’s guaranteed to be amazing. The English rock band has been around for decades and was at the forefront of the British Invasion with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Check out the Super Bowl performance at half-time on Sunday and keep an eye out for Pete Townshend’s guitar-smashing epicness.

The tracks from The Who’s Super Bowl performance will be made available immediately after the game while Megadeth will be available on Tuesday, February 9.
