Army of Two: The 40th Day Demo Releasing December 17

Test Out Army of Two: The 40th Day With a Friend on December 17

Today, Electronic Arts announced that a demo of Army of Two: The 40th Day will be made available via Xbox Live and PSN on December 17th. The demo will feature the first level of the game, allowing players to play co-op with friends, testing out the sequel to the popular 2008 shooter.

For those of us who loved Army of Two, which came out in 2008, the upcoming release of its sequel, Army of Two: The 40th Day in 2010 is exciting news. Army of Two was a shooter based around the co-op experience. With bullets and lame jokes flying around everywhere, the game was met with an overall positive reception from critics, though it was criticized for falling short of expectations. EA Montreal has taken the criticisms of the first game and is rebooting the sequel to address the first game’s weaknesses.

Eidos also announced that gamers pre-order the game will gain access to the multi-player mode, ‘Extraction’, when the game launches. Army of Two: The 40th Day is being developed by EA Montreal and being published by EA. It will be released on January 8, 2010 in Europe and on January 12, 2010 in North America.
