APB Arriving June 29 in US

EA formally announced that their PC MMO, All Points Bulletin (APB) will arrive on June 29 in the US and July 1 in Europe.

The announcement was made by EA after they accidentally left the release date information in a FAQ for the game that’s being developed by RealTime Worlds.

In their announcement EA also clarified that there will be pre-order bonuses for the game, including exclusive access to the “Key to the City” demo, “VIP gametime” and several in-game items yet to be announced.

RealTime Worlds founder David Jones said, “We’re delighted to finally be announcing the release date for APB, and we’re looking forward to welcoming players on to the mean streets of San Paro. Gamers will soon get to experience a world of unparalleled customization, conflict and celebrity – whether they choose to be a Criminal or an Enforcer.”

The game is truly unique in its execution, allowing players to choose to be either criminals or enforcers, and we loved it when we had a hands-on at PAX East. The game, arriving on the PC, will feature a unique pay scale model. Purchasing the game up front will include 50 hours of gametime and then gamers will have a chance to purchase 20 hour packages, unlimited monthly packages and 90 or 180 day subscriptions. In addition, gamers can earn extra time in the game by playing, essentially rewarding gamers for being involved in the world.
