Major Shake-up at Infinity Ward; CEOs Leave Modern Warfare Developer

For currently unknown reasons, security guards arrived at Infinity Ward headquarters yesterday and Infinity Ward’s CEOs are now out of a job. G4TV’s The Feed reported that after a meeting with Activison higher-ups, Infinity Ward CEOs Vince Zampella and Jason West had not been seen by the developer’s staff all day. Soon after, non-uniformed security guards arrived at Infinity Ward’s offices and little word has escaped the studio since regarding yesterday’s events.

It was later discovered via West’s Linkedin profile that he is no longer an Infinity Ward employee. This morning, a similar changed occurred on Zampella’s profile.

Activision has filed an SEC report that states:

The Company is concluding an internal human resources inquiry into breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward. This matter is expected to involve the departure of key personnel and litigation. At present, the Company does not expect this matter to have a material impact on the Company.”

The SEC filing is legitimate as are the updated profiles of West and Zampella. Little else is known and word from the company is extremely quiet with unofficial spokesperson Robert Bowling tweeting, “While I appreciate all the calls, tweets, messages and hearing my ringtone a lot. They’re in vain – as I have no info.”

Terminal Gamer will update this post as more information is leaked out or if any party involved releases an official statement on the evolving situation.
