Activision CEO Meeting With Infinity Ward Developers

The latest news in the Infinity Ward v. Activision war is that Activision’s CEO Bobby Kotick is currently addressing the development leads at Infinity Ward in a meeting that began at noon Pacific Time.

The news, coming in from G4TV’s The Feed, states that the nature of the meeting is unknown but speculates that the meeting will address the departure (ahem, firing) of Infinity Ward’s studio heads Jason West and Vince Zampella.

The developer is not owned by Activision but had signed a publishing agreement with Activision and an SEC filing by Activision suggests that insubordination took place at Infinity Ward and that a major lawsuit could be in hand. In fact, the whole existence of Infinity Ward could be hanging in the balance.

A second meeting will take place afterwards in which Kotick will address the entire studio.

We’ll keep you updated throughout the day as we learn more about this troubling scenario.
