Dead Rising 2 was showcased at X10 and it was revealed that the zombie-killing game would be arriving on North American store shelves on August 31. The game will take place in Fortune City and will feature an all-new protagonist who is motivated by a search for his daughter amongst the zombie hordes. Gamers will be able to explore the sandbox world full of casinos and other Vegas-like attractions while battling thousands of zombies with any and all available weapons from benches to TVs to weights to chainsaws and more.

In addition, Dead Rising 2 will offer gamers the ability to combine weapons to create superweapons. One such weapon is the “PaddleSaw,” which is a kayak paddle with a running chainsaw on either end. Swing that baby and you’ll do some real damage! Dead Rising 2 will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and a new trailer showing off the game has been released and can be seen after the break. Enjoy!
