This is a great week for Harmonix. Coming off of the full metal album last week, and with a distinctly rock/punk look to most of the new year releases, its nice to see Harmonix branching out and bringing some more heavy vocal work to the setlists. While some might not be into R&B hits and slower songs like these, it only continues to accentuate how great Harominx is with providing a variety of musical choices with the platform. The other songs included in the week’s release should appease anyone who isn’t down with Otis Redding, though I can’t help but feel like some of these lesser known rock releases is Harmonix clearing out the closet in anticipation of some bigger releases, the emergence of the Rockband Network, and potentially an announcement of Rockband 3 in the near future.
