SEGA Confirms Multiplayer Demo Arriving Tomorrow
February 3, 2010 – Don’t say we didn’t warn you – Aliens vs Predator will see a demo release tomorrow as per yesterday’s rumor. The multiplayer demo will allow players to test out each of the game’s three species – the Colonial Marine, the Predator and the Alien. It will allow gamers to fight each other in Deathmatch mode on the Refinery multiplayer map.
In the press release issued today by SEGA, Gary Knight, European Marketing Director of SEGA Europe said, “The team at Rebellion has created a truly immersive multiplayer experience with three completely different and compelling playable species. We believe that Aliens vs Predator offers gamers a unique alternative to the current FPS multiplayer games on the market, and sets a precedent for the evolution of multiplayer gaming in the genre.”
He goes on to say, “Multiplayer was a huge part of our original AVP game back in 1999, and we’ve kept the spirit of that classic experience in creating the multiplayer for our new Aliens vs Predator.”
So get online tomorrow and download the demo and strap in for a vicious firefight. The demo will be available on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Steam tomorrow.
Aliens vs Predator is being developed by Rebellion Games and will be published by SEGA. It will be available on February 16 in North America and February 19 in Europe for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
