PS3 Exclusive Noir Thriller Goes Gold, Demo Will Be Arriving on February 11
January 28, 2010 – The highly anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusive Heavy Rain has gone gold, according to Sony. In addition, Sony announced that a demo of Heavy Rain would be made available in the US on February 11.
The demo, according to Sony, “will allow players to play two chapters from Heavy Rain, featuring Norman Jayden, an FBI agent brought in to help local authorities track down the Origami Killer, and Scott Shelby, a private detective hired by the families of past victims of the Origami Killer to find the serial killer.”
Heavy Rain is being developed by Quantic Dream, the French developer behind Indigo Prophecy (AKA Fahrenheit). Heavy Rain will tell the stories of numerous characters attempting to solve the mystery of the Origami Killer. It will features highly realistic graphics, a compelling, adult storyline, and frenetic quicktime action sequences.
A series of DLC episodes, the “Heavy Rain Chronicles”, will begin to arrive on the first day that Heavy Rain is available in stores. Heavy Rain will be released on February 23 in North America and February 26 in Europe.
