Mass Effect 3 Not The End of Mass Effect Universe

Bioware Co-Founder: Mass Effect Universe Will Continue After Trilogy Is Finished

January 21, 2010 – With the release of Mass Effect 2 just days from now, it’s good to know that the next Mass Effect game, Mass Effect 3 will indeed finish the trilogy but won’t be the end of the Mass Effect universe.

Speaking with Kotaku, Greg Zeschuk, co-founder of Bioware, said “We’re actually going to continue to use it for stuff and we’re going to continue to make games there.”

Good news for fans of Mass Effect. The game world is varied, deep and beautiful. There is so much to explore in the Mass Effect universe that gamers certainly should find themselves eager to continue exploring the world after Mass Effect 3 has wrapped up Commander Shepard’s story.

Zeschuk also promised that Mass Effect 3 will continue the persistent game save system from Mass Effect 2. He said on the subject, “folks who have stuck with the franchise the entire time, there will be stuff that you feel is yours that you’ve created in that third iteration.”
