What is NIS?

The acronym NIS stands for Nippon Ichi Software – an entertainment software company located in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, that was founded in September 1991. NIS is known most notably for its Disgaea series with its first entry released in Japan in 2003 for the PlayStation®2.
