Q & A With Darren Deguire, United States Business Development Manager, Fanhome

Terminalgamer:  We built Revelle models when we were younger. What is the difficulty level for the assembly of Fanhome models?

Darren Deguire: All Fanhome build-up models are created to satisfy both beginners and advanced modelers. The modeler will receive the parts and magazines with rich content, fun facts, behind-the-scenes content, and very detailed step-by-step assembly instructions in each package. In addition, subscribers will be able to follow video tutorials if any extra help is needed.

TG: Do the parts come pre-painted?

Darren: Yes

TG: Is glue required?

Darren: No, glue will not be needed. If any tools or materials are required to assemble the model, they will be provided inside the shipments. For instance, a screwdriver or batteries would be included.

TG: This being a monthly subscription service, if someone stops service after a couple of months, how unfinished will a model look?

Darren: It depends on which build-up model a fan is constructing and how far along in the process they decide to end their subscription. Some models can take up to two years to complete, so it varies. Assembling our build-up models is a shared experience where the most enjoyment is to have your build-up finished and be proud of how it looks and all the work done by yourself.

TG: For display purposes, can these models be set-up as a work-in-progress display?

Darren: Definitely, yes! Fanhome build-up models can easily be set-up and displayed as work in progress at your home. Fanhome is not a simple e-commerce company; they create journeys in which the process of assembling and the editorial content provided are as fun as seeing the final result once fully completed.

TG: How many months does it take to complete R2-D2?

Darren: 25 months. The subscription model helps the collector by financing the total price of the collection into monthly payments for 1-2 years. The collector will be proud of the result once finished by showing the entire build-up model or all of the figurines in a  collection. Obtaining a unique collection for a low monthly payment makes the subscription model more and more popular.

TG: Do all models take the same number of months to complete?

Darren: No, timing varies based on which model is chosen, but build-ups typically take between 1-2 years to complete.
