QuakeCon 2013 | John Carmack’s Annual Keynote, Featured Presentations and Panels Announced


Bethesda Softworks is pleased to announce that QuakeCon 2013, the ultimate video game festival, will kick off on Thursday, August 1st with an annual keynote address given by John Carmack, co-founder and technical director of id Software.

In addition to John’s keynote, this year’s QuakeCon attendees will be able to check out presentations of The Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within – as well as a panel featuring Dishonored’s Raphael Colantonio, Ricardo Bare and Seth Shain, all on the Ventrilo Main Stage.

The Elder Scrolls Online, the next chapter in the award-winning series and the first to bring the legendary experience online, Wolfenstein: The New Order, a reimagining of the popular shooter franchise developed by MachineGames, and Dishonored: Brigmore Witches, the third add-on pack for Arkane Studios’ critically-acclaimed first-person action game, will all be playable at the show.

QuakeCon 2013 will take place at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, August 1st through Sunday, August 4th. The event is free for general admission attendees thanks to the support of id and Bethesda Softworks, as well as the QuakeCon volunteer staff and the 2013 event sponsors and exhibitors.

Doors to the QuakeCon BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN party and gaming festival will open on Thursday, August 1st at 9am and will remain open through 12pm on Sunday, August 4th.
