Today, Ubisoft announced a unique pre-order offer with GameStop, the world’s largest retailer of video games, and Guitar Center, the world’s largest musical instrument retailer, for its fall 2011 release of Rocksmith. Rocksmith is the first and only game that lets players plug any real guitar with a standard quarter-inch input jack into a PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, an Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® or a Windows-compatible PC. Consumers that pre-order Rocksmith at GameStop will receive a $25 voucher toward a guitar purchase at any Guitar Center location or at its online store.

“Ubisoft is excited to partner with GameStop and Guitar Center on a pre-order offer that is the first of its kind for the company,” said Adam Novickas, director of marketing at Ubisoft. “This special offer is the perfect synergy for both video game players and musicians.”
