Ten years ago today, Sony released the PlayStation 2 into the world. A decade later, the PS2 is still a force to be reckoned with, and it’s not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon. It continues to sell around the world and developers continue to make games for the console. There’s not much more to be said about the PlayStation 2. I don’t think there’s one among us who hasn’t been astounded by the PlayStation 2’s influence.

And, while we’ve all been affected by the PS2 in some way, everybody’s experience differs. I remember the first time I played Gran Turismo 3. I was blown away by not only the graphics, but also the depth of the gameplay. That was the moment that I realized what video games were capable of, and that was when I developed a true passion for gaming. So what I want to know is how Sony’s behemoth of a machine has changed your life, for better or worse.
