Microsoft announced today that Fallout 3, Bethesda Softworks’ stunning RPG epic set in a post-apocalyptic world, is available via their Games on Demand service.
Games on Demand offers gamers the opportunity to download title directly to their Xbox 360s and Fallout 3 requires 5 GB of hard drive space and is priced at $29.99.
Fallout 3 is an excellent RPG title that combines shooter elements with traditional role playing. You play the part of a Vault Dweller – someone raised in a nuclear fallout vault underneath the ground – whose father leaves the facility abruptly. You follow him out into a huge, desert environment surrounding the post-nuclear war ruins of Washington, DC. Huge, with tons of side quests and memorable settings, Fallout 3 is a great buy. It’s also a fantastic purchase considering that the next Fallout game, Fallout: New Vegas, is coming out in the fall.
In addition, Microsoft also announced that Street Fighter IV is available today on Games on Demand. The fighting game was critically acclaimed for its fantastic controls, unique character lineup, and cel-shaded graphics. Also priced at $29.99, Street Fighter IV requires 5 GB of hard drive space.
