Codemasters Working on New FPS

Codemasters has confirmed that they are working on a new first-person shooter, although the project still remains shrouded in secrecy.

Details are scarce, although we know that the development team is being headed by Stuart Black, who was the man behind the critically acclaimed FPS Black, which was released in 2006. We also know that the new game will use the EGO Game Technology Platform, which was previously used in DIRT 2 and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

The company said that the FPS will be based on a new IP.

80 people are said to be working on the mystery game, which has apparently been in development for a year. Work is being carried out at Codemasters’ Guildford studio.

We’ll bring you more details on the game as soon as they become available.
