Ferrari Roaring Into Need For Speed: Shift

February 9, 2010 – EA announced via press release yesterday that a brand new package of Need for Speed: Shift DLC will be coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 on February 16. The Ferrari Racing pack will set gamers back 800 MS Points ($10) and packs in 10 new vehicles and 46 Ferrari-specific challenges. The new rides are:

1. 1996 Ferrari F50 GT

2. 2005 Ferrari F430 Spider

3. 2005 Ferrari FXX

4. 2005 Ferrari Superamerica

5. 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

6. 2006 Ferrari F430 Challenge (Online/Quick event only)

9. 2008 Ferrari California

10. 2008 Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider

Achievement addicts will be happy to know that the pack comes with the opportunity to earn 125 Gamerpoints.

The exclusivity of this content is rather strange as according to estimates at VGChartz.com the PS3 version of Shift outsold the Xbox 360 edition by almost half a million units.

Need For Speed: Shift was released on September 15, 2009 to generally positive reviews. The more simulation-focused entry into the long running series was viewed by many as a step towards returning the EA published franchise to the quality it once had. The game was the first title from new developer Slightly Mad Studios.
