L.A. Noire Releasing in September

Geoff Keighley Says Team Bondi’s Los Angeles-set Thriller to Arrive in September on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

February 8, 2010 L.A. Noire will be arriving in September, says Geoff Keighley. He reported today on Twitter that he had gotten his hands on an early copy of the GameInformer article on Team Bondi’s upcoming title and let slip that the article revealed a September release date.

Recently it was confirmed that L.A. Noire would be coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 after years of being billed as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. The title will take place in 1947 in Los Angeles and will tell a dark crime story stylistically similar to that of L.A. Confidential, the Academy Award-winning film set in Los Angeles during the same approximate time period.

Though most details about the title have yet to slip, buzz is building around the open-world game and GameInformer’s exclusive look. It will be the first time anyone has seen details about L.A. Noire in ages.

Though the September release date can’t be confirmed yet, Keighley is a trusted industry source who always seems to get the breaking news ahead of everyone else. So we’ll take his word for it. L.A. Noire is coming in September.
