Zelda Could Make Playable Appearance At E3

Nintendo Producer Eiji Aonuma Reveals Some Details About Next Zelda Game

February 4, 2010 – In an interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu this week, Nintendo producer Eiji Aonuma said that he is hoping the next Wii Zelda game will be playable for this year’s E3.

The game’s development is progressing smoothly. In the interview Aonuma notes that, “We’ve progressed in development since last year. At present, the core areas have come into clear view.” In addition, he said that he’s been pushing for the game to be released sometime this year, saying, “We’ll work hard in order to get you playing it as soon as possible.”

The game will feature Wii Motion Plus, which Aonuma can’t speak highly enough about. Saying, “After actually making it compatible, it just feels so natural. Link’s sword and the controller that you’re holding become one.”

The interview didn’t reveal a horde of new information, but it at least offered some insight into the development of the newest game in The Legend of Zelda series. We can only hope it will be playable at E3.
