Commander Shepard and Company Knock Off Just Dance

February 1, 2010 – Mass Effect 2 took over the top spot on the UK game sales chart last week, finally knocking Just Dance off the top of the pile.

The epic space opera, featuring intense shooter action, amazing character growth and a deeply involving story is making shockwaves across the world. It has garnered more than forty perfect review scores from across the industry and has an average score of 96% on MetaCritic. It has also sold extremely well worldwide, with 2 million purchases worldwide last week. It released on January 26 in North America and January 29 in Europe making its sales chart dominance even more impressive as it only had a few days to top Just Dance which has reigned for the past few weeks after removing Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 from the top spot.

Mass Effect 2 was followed on the charts by Just Dance, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, MAG and Wii Sports Resort. The full list is below:
