FIFA 10: 2.2 Million Sales in UK

FIFA 10 Moves In On Record Sales For the FIFA Series

January 30, 2010 – An MCV Uk report says that FIFA 10 has already moved 2.2 million units in the UK and is closing in on breaking the record for the most sales in the long-running series.

Bolstered by remarkable reviews, the recent announcement of FIFA Online and the news that development team EA Canada will be producing FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa for release in April, it appears that FIFA is only gaining steam several months after being released.

FIFA 10 won numerous Sports Game of the Year awards across the industry for making an incredibly realistic soccer (football) simulator. Featuring hundreds of professional teams from Manchester United to Celtic FC to DC United and PSV Eindhoven and beyond, a revolutionary 360-degree control scheme allowing for unparalleled foot movement, stunning graphics and numerous gameplay modes, FIFA 10 was a revolutionary step forward for the series.

It’s probably safe to say that EA Canada should be right up there with Naughty Dog and Rocksteady Studios for “Developer of the Year” consideration after producing FIFA 10 and our Sports Game of the Year award winner, NHL 10.
