PSP Metal Gear Solid Title Is Delayed in Japan

January 29, 2010 – The Japanese release date for the highly anticipated PSP title, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, has been pushed back. Originally scheduled for release on March 18 in Japan, the title’s release has been delayed to April 29, according to Konami.

Konami said that the game was delayed in order to ensure a quality final product that meets consumer satisfaction.

It will be the first time that Metal Gear Solid has landed on the PSP platform and will take place during the Vietnam war.

The game will see a May 25 release in North America and a May 27 release in Europe (May 28 in the UK). The delay will not affect these release dates.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is being developed by Kojima Productions and was written and designed by Hideo Kojima. It will be published by Konami.
