We know you probably don’t like Mondays. And Monday mornings? Probably even lower on your list of favorite things. Here at TerminalGamer we don’t set out trying to make these unbearable times even worse. It’s just that, sometimes bad news crops up and intrudes on your morning coffee.
Over the weekend Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling made an appearance on Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb’s podcast. During the visit he revealed that the Stimulus Package Map Pack for Modern Warfare 2 will cost 1,200 Microsoft Points.
Yes, that’s right, a full $15. That’s $5 more than a full XBLA Arcade title such as ‘Splosion Man. That’s only $5 less than one of Rockstar’s Episodes from Liberty City; DLC so full of features that many reviewers said they could be released as standalone titles.
What do you get for your $15? Five brand new maps to camp on. Well, to be more precise, three brand new maps and two returning favorites from Call of Duty 4.
This news isn’t terrible if you’re one of the numerous gamers that have left Modern Warfare 2 for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. If so, feel free to gloat. In any case, everyone should do their best to prepare for the impending perfect storm of rage and indignation coming from all corners of the internet.
The map pack will be available for download March 30 for the Xbox 360 and a later undetermined date for the Playstation 3.
