Infinity Ward may be finished with Call of Duty.
After the massive public spat with founders Jason West and Vince Zampella, Activision has found itself losing staff members from the studio at a rapid pace as they flee to West and Zampella’s newly-created Respawn Studios at EA.
In an interview with VG247, Activision’s Executive Vice President of Studios, David Stohl, essentially admitted that Infinity Ward may be done with Call of Duty, the franchise it founded. “We’re not saying [whether Infinity Ward will continue to be a Call of Duty studio]. There is definitely a strong shooter philosophy there, for sure. And I think there’s a short and long-term view on the whole thing.
