Sometimes success and popularity isn’t a good thing.

Details after the jump.

We reported yesterday about the availability of Lockwood Publishing’s Mercia: Fractured Realms PlayStation Home demo, and it seems to many of you went and checked it out.

Here’s the message straight from the developers:

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately the Mercia: Fractured Realms Demo portal has been taken out of the E3 space due to the server load issue people were experiencing yesterday. We’re working diligently with Sony to get this resolved and will keep you informed as and when we have more news.

There is still a way to play, however, you just need a friend who’s saved the space to invite you in – then once you’ve received all four of the Warrior’s Starter Pack reward items and equipped them (this may take a little patience and perseverance), you can play! Make sure to save it to your favourites so you can keep trying to get in.

We’re really sorry to everyone who was looking forward to it that hasn’t been able to play it yet. We hope this method will allow you to give it a go! Good luck and please let us know what you think once you’ve tried it.

We were lucky enough to check out the demo before the server issues arose, and really enjoyed it.

Were you able to get in?
