Did you hear? We kind of liked Mafia II. Sure, it’s received mixed reviews from the press, but we freaking loved it. Why? Well, it’s a great story, fantastic action, and it’s extremely well acted. And, while Empire Bay isn’t full of side quests and bonus missions, it is beautifully designed. There’s a lot of hard work that went into the game, and we highly recommend it.

Which is why we’re also really excited about Jimmy’s Vendetta, a DLC pack for the Xbox 360, and PS3 that will be available on September 7. Woah, that’s not a long ways away, is it? continue reading…



 
The whole reason I bought an Xbox 360 in the first place, many years ago, was because of Dead Rising. Frank West’s zombie-kicking badassness was just too much to handle. I had to make the switch from the 360. And now, well, I’m excited again because Dead Rising 2 is almost here. And you know what else is here? Dead Rising 2 Case Zero. Mafia II wowed me with its beginning and at the end, it couldn’t leave my thoughts. Set in the large, open-world city of Empire Bay, an amalgamation of New York and San Francisco, Mafia II is a dark, gritty look at the world of the mob. continue reading…



 
By now, it’s not really news that Halo: Reach has been leaked and is available for illegal download from more than a few sites. And while the fact that a game was leaked before its release date shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody, most gamers would agree that pirating games just isn’t right. Microsoft sure seems to believe so, and has begun striking back at gamers who have downloaded the illegal version of Halo: Reach.
