Ubisoft has issued a recall for Collector’s Editions of the submarine sim Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic because of Nazi symbols present in some of the bonus content.
German law forbids Nazi symbols and gestures in entertainment products as well as in public and private life. The regular edition of Silent Hunter 5 had removed Swastikas and other symbols of the Third Reich, but Ubisoft neglected to remove the symbols from the Collector’s Edition.
According to German gaming site ComputerBase, the recall only affects the Collector’s Edition of the game.
