Unfortunately, the massive Nor’easter sweeping up the New England coast today has dumped two feet of snow on our home office and we’ve lost power. While we’ll try our best to get out as many articles as possible, it may be difficult given the situation.

So, we may not be able to post new articles for a while but rest assured we’ll be up and running as soon as the power kicks back in, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later. Keep an eye on the New England weather to get some idea on when it will clear up and when we’ll get the lights back on.

It’s quite clear that the newest revolution in movies, and in experiencing them is three dimensional technology. Let’s face it, it’s good for business, and it’s terrific for ticket sales garnering lots of hype. Although the push to create and sell three dimensional televisions to the home market is steadily starting to increase, and the talk about games utilizing the new technology is almost a sure thing, a much quieter revolution has been beginning to take form in the video game universe.

Video Game Publisher and Developer Namco Bandai issued a recall in Japan today on the much-awaited game Tales of Graces. While the game has been out since Decemeber 10th in Japan, Namco apologized today to its fans and offered to replace the buggy copies. The replacements wil be handled by a mail-in system in Japan. People who imported this hit game are pretty much screwed, though.

Those looking forward to a Stateside release (like myself) will rejoice to know that we’ll be receiving the fixed version of the game which features smooth coding and far fewer issues when completing extra play-throughs.

Sadly, there is no word of when the American release date will be, and this recall has probably put any such plans for a near-term release on the back burner until the problems are fixed.

Today 505 Games, best known for the Cooking Momma and Armored Core Franchises, announced the developers of the upcoming Wii and DS video game iterations of the 1978 Paramount classic, Grease. According to 505, Zoë Mode will develop for Wii, and Big Head Games will develop the DS version.

For those who have their fears regarding their translation from film to game, UK-based developer Zoë Mode has several hits among their accomplishments, including Guitar Hero 5, Singstar Pop Hits, and Chime. They’re known for making games that are fun and easily accessible by a wide audience but that also challenge the hardened gamer.

Big Head Games, another UK developer, was founded by the ex-directors of 8-Bit Games and have so far made several titles for the Apple App store such as Terminator and Hollywood Hotel.

Look forward to more information on both iterations of the Grease video game as they come out on Terminal Gamer.
