Yakuza 3′s world is big. And the new Yakuza 3 trailer, released today, highlights the numerous places you can go in the world and some of the things you can do. Featuring a beautifully realized Tokyo and Okinawa, beach scenes and more, the trailer is well worth a look for any and all PlayStation 3 owners.

The game will be available on March 9 in North America exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

Last week we reported that either Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines and LittleBigPlanet would be made available for free to purchasers of a new PSP Go until March 21. Initially, it was believed that gamers would be able to choose one or the other as soon as they registered a PSN account or signed into their PSN account from the new PSP Go, but that appears to not be the case.

Dragon Quest IX, the incredibly popular Nintendo DS title, is coming to North America after selling 4 million units in Japan.

Nintendo announced the upcoming release of the RPG title during their Summit event in San Francisco earlier this week. The title was developed by Level-5 and was published in Japan by Square Enix. It will be published by Nintendo in the U.S., the result of a “unique” agreement between the two companies.

The game offers complete customization of characters and party members, turn-based combat, alchemy and many side-quests. Dragon Quest IX received a 40/40 from Famitsu.

It will be released this summer, though a specific release date has not yet been announced.

After a public vote, a new road in Derby, England, is to be named after the star of Tomb Raider, Lara Croft.

Over 27,000 people took part in the vote, and 89% of voters chose the name ‘Lara Croft Way’. Other famous names in the running included Derby County footballer Steve Bloomer and engineer George Sorocold, but Lara left them in the dust at the polls.

BioWare announced today that the next set of downloadable content will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace next month.

The Firewalker pack contains the Hammerhead hover-tank along with 5 new missions for Commander Shepard to conquer. The content will be free for members of the Cerberus Network. All new copies of Mass Effect 2 come with a code to access the Cerberus Network. For gamers who buy the game used network access costs 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15).
