You just need to be a little more careful and clever about it. Melee weapons used to do 10% of the Tank's mac health, now they do 5%. It just takes twenty whacks of a frying pan to kill take the big guy down instead of ten. All that means is that each player needs to his the tank five times. I was always distraught that melee weapons did so much damage. A clip of shotgun rounds to the face wasn't as effective as a guitar. Seems a bit unbalanced when you look at it. You can still do that.
