GTA III did great things for gaming. When I was a kid GTA games were the bomb! It really had us - the whole stealing cars, police chases, gunning gangsters down, awesome awesome awesome! But the article is about our personal input on our game of the decade, and mine is MGS4. The opening cutscene always brings a tear to my eye! Its a powerful game on storytelling, and gameplay. To me MGS4 has it all, and also does them completely right! So while is may not revolutionary to some people, to me its still a mission I will never get tied of doing. On the other hand, how about your personal opinion on Game of the Year for 2009?

I'm gonna have to say GTA III. It really was revolutionary in the way it did things. But I also never got around to getting my own copy, and I remember that whenever I would go hang out with my best friend who I pretty much grew up with we would play that for hours on end. So that was the only time I ever really got to play GTA III in its heyday. So maybe it's just my fond memories of that game, but it definitely gets my vote.

Metal Gear Solid 4 may be a good game but it isn't really revolutionary. The reason I said GTA 3 is beause it made the 3d sandbox environment. Many games incorporate this such as Saints Row/Spider Man 2/etc.. At work so I can't say much more.
